Mecha (メカ - meka) are giant robots, vehicles, construction equipment, mobile buildings and generally over-sized machines. Short for "mechanical", but is unrelated to the tag mechanical. Primarily seen in science fiction settings, though there are several cases of them in fantasy settings.
